She’s already won two gold medals at the last Olympic Games, but this world demands more of its champions, and that’s unfortunate. Simply making it to another Olympic Games is a feat in and of itself, and Mikaela Shiffrin should be honored and admired for that accomplishment alone. Instead, coverage of her first two non-qualifying runs has been awful at best, and shamefully cruel at worst.
