This is not over yet, but far from the rallying love cry of redemption and hope in Jason Robert Brown’s similarly titled 11th-hour number from ‘Parade’ (how reassuring to know I can still pull a relatively obscure musical reference out of my ass) this is more of a lament than anything else, as a storm threatens us once again. It matters not, and I mark the inevitable end of winter and ceaseless march of time with a quick time-lapse series of a single day in the snow. Let it also be accented with a quote by Marcus Aurelius:
Time is a sort of river of passing events, and strong is its current; no sooner is a thing brought to sight than it is swept by and another takes its place, and this too will be swept away.
