Our glorious month of May rushes toward its climactic conclusion as the garden explodes with some of our favorite flowers, such as these peonies. As I write this, the spicy scent of our single tree peony bloom – cut before it flopped to the ground – is wafting my way from its pride-of-place on the dining room table.
