Sometimes the only thing that gets people to sit up and take notice is a shirtless guy. So here are a bunch, but before you scroll down please read this explanation about the simplest way we can protect ourselves in these scary times. Yes, it’s about handwashing, but the source knows her shit. It’s also a much-needed reminder that what is simple is often the most powerful. When we were kids, we all washed our hands. Why did we move away from that? The minimum-of-twenty-seconds method may be new for some people, but it’s a good practice to make part of our lives now. Anyway, you didn’t come here for getting clean, you came to get dirty, so here are your shirtless male celebrities, and a few links for inspiration. Also check out the original PSA that advised you to wash your hands like you would wash these shirtless guys.

Let’s begin with a recent Hunk of the Day, Anthony Bowens. He earns pride-of-place as the featured pic placement because, well, look at the guy. (And he bats for my team now.)

From an Anthony to an Antoni, above is Antoni Porowski who has helped to helm many a hunky collection over the years. Below we have Daniel Newman and Adam Peaty. 

Telly Leung is representing the musical theater contingent. Here’s hoping that the lights of Broadway come up again soon. 

Swinging his arms to music we cannot hear is Shawn Mendes, who also likes to swing in his underwear in posts like this and this.

Liam Payne gives good face in his Hugo Boss underwear campaign. And good body too. 

Aaron Renfree brings the heat from across the pond to these shores, as he did here and here. 

Tom Goss brings some California heat to the proceedings, prior to going platinum blonde. 

Shayne Ward is another English import, and an inspiration to those of stuck inside to keep up with the workouts. (I’m only half following through.)

Lest anyone think this site is going wholesome or holistic, I offer this gratuitous glimpse of guy candy for those missing the days of shirtless wonder and naked male celebrity glory. Such cheekiness is to be found running rampant in the archives.  Here’s a brief reminder of other gents who have graced these pages with their bare naked skin.

It begins with Maluma, who just graced the Calvin Klein underwear campaign, and more importantly graced the latest Madonna album. And this beautiful duet with Ricky Martin. 

Also part of that Calvin campaign was Lil Nas X, who was previously featured as Hunk of the Day. 

A more recent feature here was the GQ photo shoot of Daniel Craig, who’s about to appear in what is being billed as his final turn as James Bond. 

Not to be outdone by Klein, Liam Payne posed in his skivvies for Hugo Boss, while Colin Kaepernick is a hero without having to pose in his underwear at all. (Though no one’s complaining that he posed without any.)

Amir Khan was a knock-out in his Hunk of the Day post.

Back to his Calvins, Justin Bieber was also part of his latest fashion campaign. But “Justin Bieber naked” may be a more interesting angle. 

And last but certainly not least is the beach body of Liam Hemsworth who gives his brother Thor a run for his bodacious money. 

PSA: how to wash your hands – vigorously, with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds. It’s not that difficult, though most people aren’t accustomed to the full 20 seconds. The memes have been popping up all over given the coronavirus hysteria of late, so here’s a more pleasant way of guiding your hand-washing techniques.

Daniel Craig at 52 puts my body to shame when it was 42. 

Come to think of it, Daniel Craig at any age puts my body to shame at any age so it doesn’t much matter.

Seeing his physique at 52, however, does inspire me, and forces the realization that getting older isn’t a bad thing, it just means we have the opportunity to work harder at things like staying in shape. Mr. Craig has been working at that for years, ever since he first rose out of the ocean like Venus on the Half-shell, in that powder blue square-cut that achieved instantly iconic status. Actor Daniel Newman has been making a thirst-trap splash on his Instagram account of late, so it seems an opportune moment to remind everyone of the first time he was Hunk of the Day here. He also recently honored his 6^thanniversary of sober living, an inspiration for anyone struggling with addiction or just wanting to better themselves. We need to celebrate more of this in the world. The goodness, the betterment, the encouragement. There is darkness enough – let us have a bit of light. (And here’s his second crowning as HOD, because one simply wasn’t enough. Depending on what’s coming on Instagram, two might not be enough either.)

To recap several hunks we’ve featured here of late, this post is a gratuitous exercise in shirtless male celebrities, and let’s be honest, we could all use a little more exercise. First up is Todd Sanfield, whose modeling career is as lucrative as his line of underwear, and both offer ample evidence of the heat that January so desperately needs. Mr. Sanfield has been here before in sultry posts like this and this and this, not to mention this Hunk of the Day crowning. 

Our second featured guy is adult entertainment superstar Wesley Woods, who gets a double dose of photo representation for reasons that should be instantly obvious. 

Sometimes just a peek of chest (and chest hair) is more exciting than a full-on full-frontal reveal, and nobody illuminates that more strikingly than Tom Ford. (Although he’s had his own naked moment too.)

Striking a similar stance, with just a hint more skin showing, is Zac Efron, whom some will prefer to see naked or nude or shirtless or at the very least in a Speedo. 

Luke Evans smuggled his budgie into hearts and fantasies the world over with this bulging Speedo post. 

 Ashley Parker-Angel proved that certain angelic poses are best turned naked. 

Brad Goreski knows how to style others, but is equally at home baring a hairy midriff when styling himself is called for. 

Last but not least, a pair of Cody Christian pics is needed to close out this mini-post, because Mr. Christian and his shirtlessness have proven popular in the past. 

Continuing on their rather happy journey of body- and self-acceptance, Sam Smith posted these beautiful images of a recent vacation (lucky sun-drenched paradise-visitor) with the following sage advice: “Feels so good to have my top off on holiday. Spent all my life hiding my body from the sun. The last year my skin has been soaking in that LIGHT. Don’t let anyone or anything stop you from feeling that kiss from above you beautiful humans.”

What a lovely message they have for all of us, and how wonderful to see someone in full enjoyment of everything they are. How few of us live that way. I certainly don’t. I put up a good front, but behind this façade there are some big-ass cracks in the foundation. As Smith guides the way, I’m doing my best to make them better, and if not improve then accept them and be grateful for the fissures that made me who I am today.

Keeping the ho-ho-ho-holidays hot without veering into scandalously salacious territory is a precarious balancing act, one which we occasionally overstep or misjudge here. (Type in ‘Gratuitous nudity’ into the search engine and stand back, Buenos Aires.) The key to a holiday hunk is the blend between the sacred and profane, a knowing glance and hint of skin, a playful gaze and mischievous pose, and maybe just the slightest peek at something naughty. We straddle the line. We skirt the edge. And we hope that Santa puts us on the good list. Here’s a look at some hunks to make your holiday jingle.

It begins with the featured photo of Frankie Catania, yet another gift from the Real Housewives of New Jersey, and one that keeps giving. Thank you, Andy Cohen!

Next up is a Santa-hatted Sean William Donovan, whose holiday sweater brings all sorts of heat and stirrings.

Having just made a super-splash in his briefs and jockstraps and boxer briefs – all products of his new underwear line Grand Axis – Steve Grand is back in the hunk game, and quite clearly winning. 

A relatively-recent Hunk of the Day is Dwyane Wade, who’s as beautiful on the inside as he is on the outside. 

Shades of grey abound in this photo of Liam Payne, whose underwear antics earned him accolades, but whose bisexual fetishization raised eyebrows and ire. That issue goes too deep for these pages; sort it out amongst yourselves.

Closing out this holiday hunk post is Justin Hartley, in his Santa-inspired turn in the holiday comedy ‘Bad Moms’. Check out the unit on that guy. 

When you cross shirtless male celebrities with Christmas, you get a lot of hunky Santa figures taking their shirts off. That’s right up the alley of the blog, where former holiday hunks included the likes of Darren Criss, Austin Drage,  Dan Osborne, Stuart Pilkington and Justin Hartley. Today we give you a whole new set of Santa babies to ogle, beginning with the fascinating Nico Tortorella, who has made finer-than-fine appearances here, here and here. 

From ChristmasTown to PhilCity, the fit form of Phil Fusco looks even more striking in red briefs against a snowy blue sky, but also intrigues when practically naked as seen here, here and here.
